Beginning Line Dance– At this time we do not have an instructor to offer a beginning line dance class but the advanced line dancers would welcome anyone that would like to learn to come at 9 am on Tue & Thu mornings and they will teach you the basics. If you have questions call Melody at RRC.
New, New, New Free Craft Class– This time of year always makes us think of nesting birds and it is also a nice time to add a new decorative element to our homes. Join the fun and create a decorative birdhouse to celebrate spring and brighten a spot in your home.
There will be a new craft the 4th Mon of each month.

Intro to More Creative Documents– This class will offer you the opportunity to explore Publisher and Word to create flyers, calendars, cards and more. Learn some of the tools that are available to help you be creative.

Dining w/Pepino – Pepino will return bringing tempting Italian entrees and recipes for each class. Each session includes dinner, recipes and conversation so join us for an evening out. This class continues to provide fun, food and fellowship now into its 11th year. Check it out.

AARP Driver Safety Course
An eight hour defensive driving course for those 55 years of age and older will be held at Rock River Center in Oregon. This two-day course is designed to improve driver safety, and those completing it are eligible for discounts on auto liability premiums. A 55-Alive certificate entitles you to premium reduction for three years with most companies, after which time the course must be taken again.
Class will be offered Oct 5 & 6 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
AARP sponsors this course and advance registration is required since seating is limited.

A prepaid fee of $12 for AARP members/$14 non AARP members is required payable to AARP, c/o Rock River Center, 215 Washington St., Oregon, IL 61061. Your AARP number must be included for the discount.
Homemade Pie Class – Rock River Center has been known for the great pies at Autumn on Parade. Would you like to learn to make that flaky crust and filling? You will make a pie from beginning to delicious end with no canned pie filling. Your will take home your finished pie to share with your family and friends later in the day. Please bring to class measuring cups, measuring spoons, mixing bowl, pastry blender, rolling pin and 10” pie pan. All ingredients will be furnished and you may choose to make an apple or cherry pie (please specify at time of registration).

Pillow Painting - This new class will teach you some of the basics of fabric painting as you use acrylic paints and special mediums to create a whimsical pillow cover for the winter season. Poinsettia Tote – Turn a simple forest green tote bag into a work of art with fabric paints in this new class. Marquetry Class - Marquetry is the inlaying wood veneers to create piece of art for your home. Anyone can do it male or female. Marquetry is fun and you will be amazed and pleased with the piece of art you create. All materials and tools required will be furnished. The class will meet three Tue evenings.

Reloading Class – This class is for those who enjoy shooting sports and want to reload their metallic cartridges. Dan Wagler has been reloading ammunition for nearly 50 years and will share tips and details that he has learned to help you become more proficient at reloading. One student will receive a free loading manual at the end of the class time.
